Dr. Bhaskar Mukherji, MD, is a highly accomplished and dedicated medical professional who has made significant contributions to the field of orthopedic and neurologic rehabilitation. During his time as a faculty member at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, in his chosen specialty of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Dr. Mukherji has consistently displayed a deep commitment to providing exceptional patient care and advancing medical knowledge.

Dr. Mukherji completed his medical degree from Tufts University, where he demonstrated exceptional academic performance and a keen interest in rehabilitation. After graduating, he pursued further training at his top-choice Emory University, immersing himself in the renowned residency program. This rigorous training equipped him with the necessary skills and expertise to become a leading expert in his field, where he was recruited by Vanderbilt University.

Throughout his career, Dr. Mukherji has actively engaged in both clinical practice and teaching. His clinical experience spans several years, during which he has treated a diverse range of patients, with orthopedic and neurologic issues. His expertise lies in diagnosing and treating complex medical conditions, and he has earned a reputation for his meticulousness, precision, and dedication to patient well-being.

In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Mukherji has been involved in resident education, chiefly focusing on advancing the understanding and treatment of brain injury, nerve conditions, and musculoskeletal issues. He has given lectures for numerous departments at Vanderbilt University, including Orthopaedics, Neurology, and Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.

Dr. Mukherji's contributions to the medical community extend beyond his clinical and research work. He has been an active participant in medical school interviews at Vanderbilt.

More recently, Dr. Mukherji was recruited by Carelon Post-Acute Solutions, a division of Elevance (Anthem), to serve as a medical director. Recognized for his outstanding contributions, Dr. Bhaskar Mukherji has received several accolades and awards during his time at Carelon. His primary role is in streamlining care while limiting instances of waste and abuse.
